Three days in Kakheti — Georgia's eastern wine region — combining family-run qvevri wineries, historic monasteries, and the cliff-town of Sighnaghi.

Kakheti is the heartland of Georgian wine, with an unbroken qvevri tradition going back over 8,000 years and now inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Heritage list. This three-day route is built around four winery visits — small family producers rather than industrial cellars — interleaved with the most important monasteries of the region (Bodbe, Alaverdi, Gremi) and a full day in Sighnaghi, the walled town nicknamed Georgia's City of Love. A traditional supra dinner with regional dishes is included on the second evening.

    Tbilisi → Bodbe → Sighnaghi

    Drive east to the convent of Bodbe, with the tomb of Saint Nino. Continue to Sighnaghi for a walking tour of the walled town and lunch on a terrace overlooking the Alazani Valley. Afternoon visit to a small natural-wine producer.

    Sighnaghi → Telavi (wineries & supra)

    Two contrasting winery visits this morning — one traditional qvevri cellar and one modern boutique producer. Drive to Telavi via the Alaverdi Cathedral. Evening supra dinner with toasts, polyphonic singing and a tasting flight of regional varietals.

    Gremi & return to Tbilisi

    Morning visit to the Gremi royal complex and a final family winery for a slow lunch with khinkali and the host's own wine. Drive back to Tbilisi by late afternoon.
